ZEBRA ONE GALLERY AND RUSSELL MARSHALL SUPPORT 100 YEARS OF THE POPPY APPEAL WITH ART CAMPAIGN
To mark 100 years of the Poppy Appeal, Zebra One Gallery and the artist Russell Marshall are supporting The
Royal British Legion by releasing 100 hand-signed poppy prints and donating to the charity.
Limited Edition of 111
The prints are from an edition of 111 and to commemorate the eleventh hour of the eleventh month in the eleventh year when the First World War ended, Marshall presented edition number 111/111 to the Chelsea Pensioners at The Royal Hospital, Chelsea, where it is part of their permanent art collection.
Marshall says: “We’ve all come to appreciate the meaning of the word freedom over the last 18 months. For 100 years The Royal British Legion has been committed to supporting those who put their lives on the line defending our freedom.
“I am honoured to be helping this important cause through this art campaign.”
The 100 prints are listed for £195 each via Zebra One Gallery’s Shop and will be available during Remembrancetide. Gabrielle Du Plooy, owner of the gallery added: “We are thrilled to be working on this campaign. Zebra One Gallery is a big supporter of this important cause and will be making a donation to the Royal British Legion after the sale concludes.”
