Invader’s *Explosion* distills the artist’s signature pixel aesthetic into a charged meditation on impact and immediacy. Drawing on the visual grammar of 8-bit arcade graphics, the composition translates a moment of rupture into crisp, modular form—each tile-like “pixel” functioning as both brushstroke and building block.

The work’s radiating energy suggests a collision between the analog city and the digital screen, where street intervention becomes contemporary icon. By elevating low-resolution imagery to monumental clarity, Invader invites viewers to consider how collective memory is coded through games, technology, and public space, delivering a bold, instantaneous visual jolt.

About the Artist

Invader is a pseudonymous French street artist. He is known for his ceramic tile mosaics modeled on the pixelated art of 1970s–1980s 8-bit video games, many of which depict the titular aliens from the arcade games Space Invaders, Pac-Man and Super Mario Bros.

(the inspirations for his pseudonym). As of December 2020, his creations can be seen in highly visible locations in 79 cities in 20 countries. To accompany his citywide installations, or "Invasions", Invader publishes books and maps as guides to the locations of his mosaics.
