In *Jul Sketches Series II*, Alex distils the immediacy of drawing into a poised, contemporary statement. Working with a sketch-led methodology—rapid mark-making, disciplined line economy, and purposeful negative space—the artist treats the page as both site and subject, allowing process to remain visible as content. The series moves between notation and composition: gestures accumulate, pause, and reassert themselves, creating a visual rhythm that feels at once intimate and architectonic. Subtle shifts in pressure and register suggest memory, observation, and the fragmentary nature of everyday experience.
