Audrey Hepburn is photographed wearing Givenchy for Glamour magazine in Rome in June 1955. The designer was a constant throughout Hepburn's career as an actress and style icon, with her once saying "Givenchy’s clothes are the only ones I feel myself in. He is more than a designer, he is a creator of personality."
About the Artist
Sir Norman Parkinson (1913–1990) was a British portrait and fashion photographer whose four-decade career transformed the aesthetic of 20th-century magazine work. Shooting for Harper's Bazaar, Vogue and Town & Country, he took models out of the studio into landscapes, streets and factories — humanising fashion photography and paving the way for the modern editorial image.
