Paul McCartney is photographed playing piano accompanied by George Harrison on the guitar and John Lennon on the harmonica. The group is shown with record producer George Martin during a recording session at Abbey Road studios on September 12, 1963.
About the Artist
Sir Norman Parkinson (1913–1990) was a British portrait and fashion photographer whose four-decade career transformed the aesthetic of 20th-century magazine work. Shooting for Harper's Bazaar, Vogue and Town & Country, he took models out of the studio into landscapes, streets and factories — humanising fashion photography and paving the way for the modern editorial image.
