Grace Coddington is photographed wearing a fleece collarless coatdress by Jane & Jane for British Vogue in August of 1966. The picture was taken by Norman Parkinson who also shot Coddington's first-ever Vogue photos after she won the publication's Young Model Competition.
About the Artist
Sir Norman Parkinson (1913–1990) was a British portrait and fashion photographer whose four-decade career transformed the aesthetic of 20th-century magazine work. Shooting for Harper's Bazaar, Vogue and Town & Country, he took models out of the studio into landscapes, streets and factories — humanising fashion photography and paving the way for the modern editorial image.
